Springtime

It is springtime! The leaves are budding on the trees, the birds are singing songs of joy, the grass is getting greener, while lovely flowers bloom. For many of us, spring is a favourite time of year, a time that bring smiles to our hearts and fills us with happiness. The days become lighter and warmer, while tulips and lilies brighten up the flower beds - what a lovely time of year indeed!

In spring, it is wonderful to spend more time outdoors soaking up the sunbeams by taking a stroll along the beach or visiting a vibrant green hiking path. Fresh fruit, like oranges and pears, are wonderfully suited to the outdoors and make a delicious snack; pair that with a lunch made of tasty, fresh vegetables (like a salad with lettuce, tomatoes, cucumber, yellow corn kernels and tofu drizzled with your favourite dressing!) and you have hearty and nourishing food to last you the day.
It is easier for us to eat more fresh vegetables and fruit in the springtime.
It just happens naturally as the weather gets warmer.

Amazingly, on the hill where I live, in the last month, the snow quickly disappeared like a little miracle. One day it was snowing white snowflakes all day and the next day it was all gone! The curious thing about this yearly event is that the snow actually evaporates. While some of it turns to water, much of it evaporates up in the air, the sun and blue sky! This is a wonderful event to view from a terrace.

Amazingly, as I was watching one morning, out of nowhere, three beautiful deer came flying up a little hill outside, so beautiful, elegant and silent.
It always touches my heart, as I know it does many of you, to see wild animals, travelling in their domain. There are so many things in nature that bring us awe and fill our hearts with joy and gratitude, like springtime.
And here is my wish for you to enjoy the beautiful month of April! Try to spend as much time as you can outdoors and bask in the sunshine, green grass, birdsong and other wonderful treasures of spring!

June, July & August

It is Summer! What a wonderful time of year when the sun is shining, flowers are blooming and the grass is fresh and green. Early summer is a perfect time to enjoy your garden, plant beautiful flowers while listening to birds singing amongst a blue sky. Or you can decorate your terrace with light, happy flowers, and a charming little citrus tree with green leaves and oranges.

Just being outdoors in the warm sunny weather fills us with joy and happiness! And - happily - the days are getting longer each day.
In June you can admire a beautiful sunrise at 4am, if you wake up and take a stroll on the beach. It is heavenly with all the warm and sunny weather.

And, as the weather gets warmer, we are drawn to more light and delicious food. You can see many ways to eat more fresh food by visiting my other site, Butterfly Nutrition, filled with a delightful summer menu to nourish your body with fresh, healthy food.

Enjoy the wonderful Summer!

Colourful Autumn

Autumn is such a beautiful time, when the air turns crisp and clear and the golden yellow, reddish leaves lighten up the season. From the time they sit on the trees, to the time they cover the ground, these golden leaves are wonderful for all of us, large and small, whether it be playing in or walking around this amazing colour spectrum that nature provides.

Autumn is often a quiet time and good for walking in nature, whether it is with your family on a Sunday walk in the woods with food and drink in your backpack or wandering alone on a trail. Here we can fully experience the peace and quiet that nature has to offer.

The mountains often have clear weather and good visibility with the same beautiful autumn colours found in the lowlands. The view from the top of a mountain, over a plateau filled with the golden colours of autumn, is a stunning experience; one you will remember for a long time. Autumn can provide many great experiences if you spend time in nature. Try walking on trails in the woods, jogging around a lake or taking a trip to the mountains, filling your precious body with the clear mountain air. See how revitalized you feel!

Enjoy this most beautiful part of year!
